Club News
Welcome to the official website of Brightlingsea Cricket Club, located on the beautiful North Essex coast.
Our club has been an integral part of the community for over a century, and we are dedicated to being a family-friendly, community-based club that is passionate about the game of cricket.
We are proud to have four senior teams, including a Saturday XI and Sunday XI competing in the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties League, and a Sunday XI participating in the North Essex Cricket League's T30 competition.
For those who prefer a less formal game, our social team "The Railway" is always looking for players to join in. They play 30-over games against various social and pub teams during the season.
Our thriving youth section caters to children of all abilities, providing them with opportunities to develop their cricketing skills in a fun and supportive environment.
As a Disability Cricket Champion Club and registered charity, we are committed to making cricket accessible to everyone. Our facilities are also shared with our friends at The Railway Tavern, further strengthening our ties with the local community.
We invite you to explore our website and learn more about our club. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to contact us at brightlingseacricketclub@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our cricketing family.

Community Based
We support a thriving Junior players' programme, with Colts' Cricket and very busy Kwik Cricket sessions, supporting the youngest members of the Club.
Our recent ‘COVID Bounce Back 2021’ crowdfunding appeal to improve our facilities saw the Club supported by a wide range of local businesses and individuals. This allowed us to receive additional funding from Sport England and the National Lottery.
We were also fortunate enough to receive a very generous donation from the Brightlingsea & District Rotary Club.
All donations allow us to improve facilities for our upcoming superstars!

Cricket for all
While we play every game to win, our first aim is to enjoy our cricket. We welcome players of all shapes, sizes and talents, whether they want to play one game a season or twenty games.
Our commitment to all members of our local community has recently been recognised by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) approving us to become a Disability Cricket Champion Club. In the coming months, we will be developing our provision for disabled people of all ages in our area.
On a match day, and during Kwik Cricket training, the club house bar is always open, so why not come down, have a drink and support your local cricket club.
If you would like to get involved please contact us via email.
